Conservation Management Plan

The Eames House is unlike any other historic home, requiring a unique conservation approach. In collaboration with the Getty Conservation Institute, the Foundation developed the Eames House Conservation Management Plan (CMP)—a research-based framework that deepens understanding of the site’s history and guides preservation of its structure, landscape, and the spirit of Charles and Ray’s life and work. In continuing that chain reaction Charles and Ray fostered in their own work, the intent is for the CMP to serve as a foundation for the conservation of other historic sites and modernist treasures around the world.
