The Meadow: A Natural Setting for Reflection & Celebration
Set beneath a canopy of eucalyptus trees, the meadow provides a serene, open-air space for gatherings, celebrations, and special occasions. With sweeping views of the Pacific and the iconic Eames House nestled in the hillside, the meadow invites guests to experience the harmony between nature and design that was central to Charles and Ray’s philosophy. Rental Options
As custodians of a National Historic Landmark, the foundation maintains careful oversight of all third-party events to ensure the preservation of this exceptional property. We thoughtfully balance public access with long-term stewardship, which means we host a limited number of private events each year. Learn more about site rental options within this section below.
The Studio
Below you'll find our pricing structure for weekday events in the Studio:
Base Packages – Weekdays (Studio & Courtyard)
- Up to 25 guests: $12,000
Package includes 3 hours of event time, plus 1.5 hours for setup and 1.5 hours for breakdown. All events must use caterers and vendors from our preferred provider list.
Optional Enhancements
- Original Eames Shell chairs: $25 per chair (40 available)
- Eames and Case Study House orientation: $1,000 (15-minute meadow introduction plus 45 minutes with docents for questions; house viewing through open doors/curtains)
- VIP experience: $2,500 per group of up to 4 guests (private interior house tour)
The Meadow
Below you'll find our pricing structure for weekday and weekend events in the Meadow:
Base Packages – Weekdays (Meadow only)
- Up to 25 guests: $12,000
- Up to 35 guests: $16,000
- Up to 75 guests: $25,000
Base Packages – Saturdays (Meadow only)
- 1–75 guests: $25,000 flat fee
Each package includes 3 hours of event time, plus 1.5 hours for setup and 1.5 hours for breakdown. All events must use caterers and vendors from our preferred provider list.
Optional Enhancements
- Original Eames Shell chairs: $25 per chair (40 available)
- Studio & Courtyard access: $5,000 (includes interior studio access and courtyard connecting House and Studio)
- Eames and Case Study House orientation: $1,000 (15-minute meadow introduction plus 45 minutes with docents for questions; house viewing through open doors/curtains)
- VIP experience: $2,500 per group of up to 4 guests (private interior house tour)
Required Event Staffing
The following staff services are mandatory for all events:
- Security Services: $100/hour per guard (4-hour minimum; 2 guards required due to National Historic Landmark designation)
- Event Site Manager: $45/hour (6-hour minimum)
- Custodial Services: $40/hour (4-hour minimum)
Estimated additional staffing cost: $1,310 (final amount varies by event size and specific requirements).
